FROM THE EDITOR
HELLO AND WELCOME TO MY WORLD! I AM TERRIBLE AT TYPING AND ALSO TWICE AS BAD AT COMPUTERS. I MUST APOLOGISE FOR THE UPPER CASE TYPE, BUT IF I DON'T LEAVE CAPS LOCK ON IT WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE TO READ AND UNDERSTAND. I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO BEING THE NEW CLARK KENT FOR THE ILA NEWSLETTER. I HOPE ( AND PRAY ) THAT I CAN ONLY BE HALF AS GOOD AS THE FORMER GURU KNOWN AS CARL. I HAVE SOME PRETTY BIG SHOES TO FILL. IF AT ANY TIME ANYONE HAS NEWS OR ARTICLES THEY WOULD LIKE PUBLISHED, PLEASE EMAIL ME.
QUOTE FOR THE MONTH: REMEMBER, IF WOMEN DON'T FIND YOU HANDSOME, AT LEAST THEY WILL FIND YOU HANDY!!!
I hope that all who attended the CCTV Class had a great time learning and sharing with each other. I found the class to be very informative and helpful since within the next month I will be installing cameras. It took away any fear that I had and put it to rest. We will be establishing an advanced class soon so don't miss it. We also have a code class in the works for May.
I would like to inform all of you that this June we are going to hold elections for chapter officers. I would like to turn over the chapter to someone so that I can continue to work for you on the national level. As I have said in the past, being chapter president is a lot of work but it is also a lot of fun. You will still have me there as a member to help you as well as the other officers and board members so you would not be alone. They are a very good group to work with. So, if you think you would like to get more involved and run for office, let me or any of the otherboard members know so we can work with you at any level.
We all want this association to grow so there has to be more involvement from other members. There needs to be new blood to give the association new perspective so it can keep going strong.
THE RECENT CLASS FOR CCTV GIVEN BY CHUCK DIXON WAS AN EXCELLENT DAY OF LEARNING. CHUCK GAVE A HANDS ON DEMONSTRATION AND PRACTICAL APPLICATION TYPE CLASS. EVERYONE SEEMED TO ENJOY IT. IT SEEMED THAT THERE WAS INTEREST IN A PHASE II CLASS. I'LL KEEP YOU POSTED AND I THINK THAT MAY JUST HAPPEN. THE FISHING TRIP IS A GOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! IF YOU ARE INTERESTED PLEASE BRING A DEPOSIT TO THE NEXT MEETING. (SEATS ARE LIMITED!) SPECIAL ALERT TO ALL OUR FEARLESS TREASURER TURNS 66 NEXT MONTH. BE ON THE LOOKOUT!!!!!(BOB GRESS)

ILADVC TRAINING VIDEO TAPE COLLECTION
Below is a list of video tapes that Bob Gress has amassed over the years and is willing to share with the active members.
The policy to borrow a tape is you must submit a $50.00 check made out to DVC/ILA. This check is a holding fee for any non-returning tapes. The borrower has 30 days to view and return any tapes borrowed.
If the tape is not returned in that length of time, the $50.00 check will be deposited into the general fund of the DVC ILA. If the tape is returned within the prescribed time period the check is instead returned to the borrower.
In other words, the rental is free provided you return the tape within 30 days.
If you have any tapes you would like to contribute to the collection, we would be happy to have them.
To contribute or to Borrow any of these tapes, contact Bob Gress at 215-671-9589 or at Temple University Hospital 215-707-3540.
